Enzo Fernandez struck in injury-time for Chelsea to cancel out Tijjani Reijnders' opener.
"I’m really proud of the boys," Chalobah said afterwards. "We spoke about our spirit, and we knew that’s what was needed today.
"You can talk about tactics, but it’s the spirit, the mentality and the togetherness that really showed today. When we were 1-0 down in the first half, we supported each other and kept each other up.
"To come here and get a point against a very good side that’s in form at the moment is unbelievable for us, and I’m really happy for the team."
Chalobah added, "In the second half, we showed even more energy. That’s what we have needed to work on this season. It’s football – sometimes you go 1-0 down. We had another 45 minutes to make things right, and we came out with our heads up, wanting to get the result.
"In these moments, it’s when you need players like Reece and me, and the senior lads, to lift the spirits, keep the guys going, and in this moment now we need to be together more than ever. We’re going to need everyone."
