Carrick will debut as manager today at home against Manchester City and was asked if he's had contact with the board.

He said, “I’ve spoke to Jason (Wilcox, sporting director) an awful lot and been working closely with him, and Omar (Berrada, chief exec) as well.
"Over the last few days, we've spoken a lot, as you'd imagine.
"The owners, the ownership group, were in and around it, so it was nice to see them and meet them yesterday and have a small chat. They were taking care of business in some ways but we were able to share a few things, and they wished us all the very best.
"It was good to see them."
