Following Amorim’s January departure after a challenging 14-month spell, the manager left a divided fanbase and a struggling squad.
Candido, who was one of his backroom staff, provided insight into the internal struggles and tactical obstacles they encountered, explaining that the coaching team faced significant barriers in implementing their strategies.
He argued that the management was not afforded sufficient time or support to fully realise their long-term vision in the high-pressure Premier League environment.
"In Manchester, I liked the city a lot and the way that the fans live and breathe football, more focused on the project than on immediate results,” said Candido told Portuguese outlet A Bola.
“What I liked less was, undoubtedly, feeling that our ideas were not being fully implemented.
"An experience is always an experience. Even if people think our work was good or bad, we always learn something in the end."
