The 57-year-old was brought in to help steady the ship following Ange Postecoglou’s disastrous eight-game tenure.
Pereira did just that, leading Forest to Premier League safety and a Europa League semi-final, where they lost to eventual winners Aston Villa.
Forest have now made the shock decision to part ways with the Portuguese coach, and look set to replace him with Glasner.
Per journalist Ben Jacobs, incredible details of Pereira’s sacking have emerged.
Jacobs reports that Pereira had a clause in his Nottingham Forest contract that meant the club would be able to terminate the deal by June 30th.
He adds that Forest didn’t even give him the courtesy of a phone call, instead an email landed in his inbox just two minutes before the clause expired.
