Bergvall played 80 minutes of Spurs’ 3-0 Premier League victory over Burnley on Saturday as the North London club tore apart the newly promoted side thanks to a brace from Richarlison and Brendan Johnson.
Bergvall, 19, almost scored inside 60 seconds against The Clarets, who are still adapting to the quality of the Premier League in what will be a very tough season for manager Scott Parker. Tottenham came into the game on the back of being minutes away from beating Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup before they conceded twice late on and lost on penalties.
Bergvall praised his side and Frank for their excellent start under the Danish tactician, which has been a smooth transition after the departure of Postecoglou once he had helped the side lift the Europa League.
“It's been really good, you saw the final against PSG, we lost but it was a really good game from us so it's been a really good start to the season
“It's difficult to compare, I don't want to compare manager to manager but I feel like we've had a really good start, working hard every day and trying to get the team together.
“It's been really good.”
Bergvall made 45 appearances in all competitions last season for Spurs under Postecoglou who saw a lot of potential in the young playmaker. He admits that Spurs are on the hunt for another trophy which may become a regular occurrence under Frank.
“We take every game at a time, we want Champions League of course, we want to win everything,” Bergvall said.
“Every week is a new game so we take it one at a time.”
