The 29-year-old is now expected to leave the East London club this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.
According to The Athletic, Aston Villa have expressed a ‘strong interest’ in the England international.
No club-to-club talks are underway, but Villa are confident an offer of around £50 million would be enough to the get the deal over the line.
West Ham are insisting that Bowen isn’t for sale, however, and they view their captain as a key part for promotion push next season.
