Arsenal have also gone a staggering 36 years without defeat vs. Forest at home, and will now come up against new manager Ange Postecoglou as he aims to turn his side around after taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo this week.
Hincapié is ready to start this weekend
Arteta first spoke on summer signing Piero Hincapié and revealed that he is ready to play this weekend if called upon after representing Ecuador in the international break.
“Well, he's a player that we've wanted for years. With the departure of Jakub as well, we needed another player who can play in that position.
“Yeah, he's ready to go. He's trained two days with us, very successful at the end under Argentina.”
Saka and Saliba out
The Spanish head coach also gave some team news ahead of the clash and stated that Bukayo Saka and William Saliba are still recovering on the sidelines.
"Bukayo is out. Still out and he is trying to get back as quick as possible. William trained today, and the rest we're waiting on. Ben (White) is okay."
Postecoglou will make life difficult
Arteta also commented on Postecoglou and revealed that he thinks it will be a tough game against the former Tottenham head coach whose last game of football was the Europa League final win over Manchester United.
"He has put his fingerprints in that team, a very clear DNA. Good to watch. We will get a very difficult game.
"As a character as a person, what he can transmit. I enjoyed it, I learned from it so its good to have him back."
Liverpool loss was hard to take
Arsenal enter the game after a 1-0 defeat to league leaders Liverpool thanks to a fantastic free kick from Dominik Szoboszlai and Arteta commented on manager Arne Slot's statement which sums up how football is sometimes.
"I think Arne said it right, when you play the game ten times, you draw eight, we win one they win one."
Arteta full of praise for Raya
Finally, he opened up on goalkeeper David Raya who has kept a 50% clean sheet record at the club and joked that even though many fans were confused by the signing, he has more than worked out.
"It's unbelievable. And I was hammered when I brought him. So that's perspective as well. Very good to understand the game, and especially when a few months or years go by. It's really good to look back as well and reflect on that."
