While the Gunners chase the title, their North London rivals are fighting to survive under interim manager Igor Tudor amid a severe slump.
Speaking on The Overlap podcast, Wright acknowledged his concern for their situation, explaining that, despite his legendary status at Arsenal, he does not share the intense hatred many fans feel and genuinely hopes Tottenham remain in the top flight.
"People talk about Tottenham going down this season, there's a chance. I wouldn't want to see Tottenham go down,” Wright said.
“In this moment right now, I watched them the other day, absolutely they could. But I wouldn't like to see it. I've never had a hatred of Tottenham. When I was younger, I was always Glenn Hoddle. I loved Glenn Hoddle and I still do."
