After going 2-0 down at Brentford, Wolves fought back to draw 2-2 and still keep their slim Premier League survival hopes alive.
Gomes was a halftime substitute and Henry was full of praise for the former Manchester United prospect, who is currently on-loan from Olympique Marseille.
Henry said on Sky Sports: "I love what Edwards did straight away (at half time) putting Angel Gomes into midfield to have a tiny bit more control, and they did. And then putting another striker in, where they are in the league you have nothing to lose and you have to go for it.
"They really went forward and Brentford didn't know what to do with it. When Gomes came on he really changed the game."
