According to The Athletic, the 26-year-old has decided to go under the knife which should shorten his spell on the sidelines.

Havertz picked up a serious knee injury in training after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Man United in their first Premier League game of the season.
Arsenal have since gone on to sign Eberechi Eze, who can fill in for Havertz, from Crystal Palace for a reported fee of £67.5 million.
The Germany international is now expected to return sooner than initially expected as Arsenal seek to end their trophy drought.
