Arteta said afterwards, “He showed that in midweek as well and we are delighted to have him, you could see the reaction of the crowd as well with him. He's another one that is in a good moment and looks a threat, so very positive.

“There are a few days for the boys after a very tight schedule to reset and then come back and start to train as well. Certain things slowly deteriorate because we don't have (time) to train them, and (we need to) pick up because the Christmas period is coming and we know how important that is.”

Arteta also stated, "What we have to do now is reset, give them two days that they can decompress a little bit and then we have a long week that we can prepare.

"When we don't train, there are things that slowly deteriorate and certain habits start to deteriorate because you don't train them and use that opportunity to do so, give it will everybody a boost because we know that the Christmas period is often seen as season-defining and we want to be on top of it."
