Speaking after the game, the midfielder stressed the importance of picking up points during the closing stages of the season.
He also disclosed that the Reds were pleased to avoid defeat despite not producing their best display.
“Massive, we knew going into these last few games it's important to pick up points and finish on a high,” Anderson told Premier League website.
It's a good point considering I don't think we were at our best today, it's about not losing points and we've picked one good one up.
"The subs brought some energy, McAtee with a great assist for me. (It was) tough out there with the heat, everyone seemed tired, but we finished well.
“We’ve sort of made a u-turn, the manager has come in and is brilliant, we’re all behind him. It was a tough game in midweek but we bounced back in the league."
