Former Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor has named Tottenham star Richarlison as the slowest player in the Premier League.

A frustrating 1-1 home draw with Leeds United in the Premier League on Monday night did not help Tottenham’s relegation hopes as they failed to capitalize on West Ham’s loss to Arsenal.

Tottenham had the chance to move four points clear of the relegation zone with victory over Leeds but were denied as Dominic Calvert-Lewin fired home a second half penalty.

Spurs looked toothless in attack and were dominated by Leeds for the majoirty of the game. Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor suggested that Richarlison is not helping as he leads the line with very little pace despite being just 29 years old.

"Because watching that game last night, I mean, Richarlison… I'll put a bet out there.

"He's the slowest player in the Premier League. I would have a bet with anyone, Richarlison is the slowest player in the Premier League.

"The amount of times he ran through and (Joe) Rodon, who is not a quick centre-half - straight in - got the ball out of him.

"Horrendous performance from him.

"That was a painful watch, and at times, Leeds, they were in first gear, stepped it up a bit last 20 and they should have won.”

It was Mathys Te who stepped up for Tottenham on Monday night and manager Roberto De Zerbi may be wondering if it is time for Richarlison to step back in attack
