Nancy, 49, was named as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Parkhead but lasted just eight games at the helm, winning two and losing the other six.
According to L’Equipe, Ligue 1 strugglers Nice are ready to offer the former Celtic boss a chance to revive his managerial career.
In an interview with RMC Sport last month Nancy spoke of his aspirations to manage in the French top flight.
“It’s true that, in the past three years, there’s been no reason to complain because French clubs wanted to work with me. It is a question of timing, and the timing wasn’t right at the time,” he said.
“Now, I want to come to Ligue 1, if there is an opportunity. I am not the one who decides, but I am ready.”
Nice narrowly avoided relegation from Ligue 1 last season, eventually beating Saint- Etienne in the play-off.
