Borland, 18, has made six EFL Trophy appearances for Villa's under-21 side.
He has represented Scotland at various age-group levels and also appeared in last season's FA Youth Cup final when Villa beat Manchester City 3-1.
Borland was named the Premier League's Scholar of the Year in May 2025 after his excellent performances in the youth ranks at Villa.
