Suker declares AC Milan signing Modric a "genius of our time"

Modric left Real Madrid for AC Milan this month after playing for Los Merengues in the Club World Cup.

Suker said, "The coincidence between the Croatian golden generation and the Madrid one bears one name: Modric.

"He's a genius of our time. I hope he continues to bring us excitement until the 2026 World Cup."  

Now a FIFA ambassador, Suker also said of the Club World Cup: "All the clubs showed quality, but the European ones are still superior physically and tactically.

"The Brazilians and some Argentines shone technically, but the semi-finals speak for themselves: three of the four European teams, PSG, Chelsea, and Real Madrid."
