While Barca have not released any type of statement on Gavi's situation, De La Fuente addressed the matter in an interview with Cadena Ser: "I spoke with Gavi.
"He's sad and awaiting possible meniscus surgery.
"Gavi is following all medical guidelines to avoid reaching this point and having to undergo surgery on the medial meniscus of his right knee. He has our support."
