Setien is impressed by how Flick is guiding Barca's young team after last season's LaLiga title triumph.
He told Radio Marca: “The era I experienced at Barcelona was not the same as what Flick is going through now.
“Now he has very young lads, with a huge future ahead of them, who haven’t won major titles yet and are in an emerging stage."
And he added a crucial point: “They are players who are enjoying themselves, who are happy, because they go out onto the field to do what they love.”
Setién insisted that this emotional state makes all the difference.
“It’s very noticeable. I know when I’ve played comfortably and when I’ve had situations where I was bitter,” he added.
On his own plans, Setien says he is ready to coach again,
“I know myself, the itch to play again is always there,” he concluded.
