Real Zaragoza's trip to Huesca on Sunday descended into chaos on Sunday as the clip of Andrada punching Huesca captain Jorge Pulido in the face went viral online.
Andrada, 35, took responsibility for the outburst after the match, saying he “lost focus” and admitted he was “very, very sorry for what happened.”
"It's not a good image for the club, for the fans, and especially not for a professional like myself. So, I'm very sorry.
"Throughout my career, I've only had one red card, and that was for a handball outside the penalty area.
"I also want to apologize to Jorge Pulido because we are colleagues, and honestly, it was my fault. I lost focus at that moment, and well, I am here for whatever consequences the league may give me."
Now, as per the BBC, the Spanish football federation has handed Andrada a 12-game suspension for the punch, alongside the initial automatic one-match ban for the red card.
Huesca goalkeeper Dani Jimenez and Zaragoza’s Dani Tasende were also sent off after the brawl in a chaotic end to the game that both sets of players will regret.
The 1-0 win for Huesca saw them leapfrog Zaragoza, who are now in a relegation fight in the final stage of the campaign.
