The 37-year-old has emerged as challenger to incumbent president Florentino Perez ahead of Sunday’s elections (June 7).
Riquelme has made some sensational promises in his bid to take over, including the signing of Rodri and that Jose Mourinho will NOT become the new manager.
Speaking on El Hormiguero he has now added City striker Haaland to that list, claiming that he has a release clause in his contract and is keen on the move.
He appeared on TV with a document which he described as: "What I commit to is that, regarding the promises I have made about the two players, if I am president of Real Madrid, if I fail to keep any of my promises, I have signed a notarized guarantee in which I commit to paying 100% of the membership fees of all 100,000 Real Madrid members next season ."
Riquelme then added: "Haaland has a clause in his contract and wants to play for Real Madrid.”
