Endrick scored a stunning goal as Lyon beat Rennes 4-2 in Ligue 1 on Sunday to move into third place in the race for a Champions League spot.
The Brazilian, who was loaned out to the French side during the winter transfer window, scored his fifth league goal of the season to help his side take one step closer to joining Europe’s elite.
Lyon is two points ahead of fourth-place Lille and four points ahead of fifth-place Rennes with two games left in what is a tight call at the top of the table.
With opportunities limited at Real Madrid, Endrick is loving life in France and was asked after the game where he sees himself once the season ends.
"My future? I feel very good, I feel very happy here," Endrick told Ligue1+.
"I'm happy with my teammates, and for the rest, I leave it to God. If I have to go back to Real Madrid, I'll go back to Real Madrid; if I have to extend my contract here, it will happen, we'll see. I'd like to stay here; everyone is doing their best to make me feel comfortable.
"I felt great, I’m very happy for the team, it was an important match (against Rennes). We defend well, we’re solid, and we have the attacking quality to make a big difference. You always have to be committed defensively, I keep working, I have to score, and if I don’t score, I have to make the effort for the team. If I don’t do enough, I’ll be on the bench, but today I scored, I kept scoring, and I’m very happy."
The 19-year-old joined the Spanish giants from Palmeiras in his homeland in July 2024, signing for a £52M fee. After finding his feet at Lyon, he could play a huge role for Madrid next season, possibly under manager Jose Mourinho who is linked with a return.
