And such has been his preseason impact, Barca are rethinking their plans for Bardghji, with the attacker now a candidate to join the senior squad, rather than be registered with Barca Atletic.

He told Mundo Deportivo: "I have always been a Barcelona supporter. I have always trained with the dream of playing here one day and have always tried to play based on Barcelona's philosophy. Being here therefore feels very natural and Hansi's (Flick, coach) playing style really suits me. I feel at home. Everyone has welcomed me.

"Off the pitch, everything is amazing. There are fans and so many people everywhere we go. Everything is new to me, but I enjoy feeling the love from so many parts of the world. I try to spend as much time as possible with the guys and get to know them better, build strong bonds. In Japan, I went out with (Robert) Lewandowski and (Wojciech) Szczesny . We had a great day full of laughter."

Bardghji added: "I've said it before, that it's my dream to be here. I hope I can stay here for many years, maybe even my whole career if that's possible. I'll do everything in my power to make that happen."
