The La Liga giants received a licence on Monday from the local council which allows them to stage matches with a capped capacity of 45,401 in what is a major boost for the side who sit top of La Liga.
Earlier this month, Barcelona held an open first-team training session in front of about 23,000 paying supporters as proceeds went to charity.
The club confirmed the news in a statement and revealed that they will try to host their Champions League clash with Bundesliga side Frankfurt on December 9th.
“FC Barcelona informs that the match corresponding to match day 13 of the League, against Athletic Club, scheduled for Saturday, November 22 at 16:15 hours, will finally be played at Spotify Camp Nou.
“Regarding the UEFA Champions League, the Club is working jointly with UEFA to be able to play the match against Eintracht Frankfurt at Spotify Camp Nou, since the necessary requirements are met, although confirmation is still awaited.”
The renovated Camp Nou is set to seat 105,000 spectators, up from its previous capacity of 99,354. Barcelona have since been playing at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium after complications with construction over the past year.
The Athletic report that Barcelona and the construction company Limak have agreed a date of June 2026 for the ground to be completed, with costs totalling around €900M.
