On-loan with Girona, Ter Stegen has suffered a thigh injury which is likely to keep him sidelined for 2-3 months.

Deco said: "He had the bad luck to get injured. We're very sad. He was in good form. He had a spectacular first game with Girona.
"We didn't want this to happen, for his sake.
"Marc needed to play, but it hasn't worked out as we wanted."
Deco added, "We don't know where he'll do it. It's a medical matter. The doctors from Girona and Barcelona will decide."
