Investigators allege that Barcelona paid €10 million to Business Futbol España (BFE) for ‘intermediation services’ that either never took place or were vastly overvalued.
Between 2018 and 2020, the payments in question were reportedly structured to conceal tax liabilities through modifications to the player’s original employment contract with the club.
Police reports indicate that the modification lowered the reported earnings and consequently circumvented Treasury payments arising from the transfer.
