Garnacho joined Chelsea in the summer from Manchester United in a deal worth £40M and has not quite impressed fans since his move due to a number of mixed performances.
The winger has played 331 minutes from seven matches for the Blues and scored his first goal against Sunderland last weekend in what may have been a turning point for the winger.
However, after being placed in Manchester United’s “bomb squad” many have claimed that the Argentina is fuelled by ego and selfishness which eventually led to manager Ruben Amorim letting him go.
Now, Argentina boss Ruggeri agrees and has called for the 21-year-old to be brought back down to Earth as he continues to cause issues on and off the pitch.
"He’s no better than anyone else, you’re a football player, enjoy it, but you shouldn’t be so full of yourself.
"It’s pointless because you miss out on so much. Someone has to bring him down to earth,” he said.
“They’re not calling him up to the national team. If he comes back down to earth like he was, they’ll call him up again because he’s phenomenal on the pitch.”
Garnacho he has not been called-up by Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni since November 2024 and in his current form he stands no chance in making it into the World Cup squad for next year’s tournament in what is a huge blow for the youngster who needs to change his mindset.
