Southampton match winner Shea Charles hailed his goal as an 'incredible moment' as they beat Middlesbrough to reach the Championship play-off final.

Charles, 22, scored in the 116th minute to send Southampton to Wembley, where they will face Hull City in the Championship play-off final.

It’s not the first time the young midfielder has come to the rescue, he also scored the winner against Arsenal in their 2-1 FA Cup win.

Speaking to Sky Sport after the game, a clearly elated Charles hailed his goal as an ‘incredible moment’ and insisted he meant it.

"It was an incredible moment! It was definitely a shot!,” he said.

"None of us have really gone to extra time, maybe once or twice before but we're a really good team and thankfully we came out on top."
