The 32-year-old spent eight years at Palace, where he made only 12 appearances last year before joining Celtic on loan in February. He made 18 appearances for the Scottish champions, including an impressive away to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Sporting director Ben Knapper explained why the Canaries made the move for the versatile defender who hopes to make his mark on a number of positions next season.
Jeffrey’s career so far speaks for itself and we’re delighted to welcome him and his family to Norwich City.
“He is a player of immense experience having played at the highest levels both domestically and internationally for many years. His quality, versatility and character will all be great assets for us, and he will serve as a fantastic reference point for our younger players in particular this season.
“He will provide competition and depth across multiple positions, and we’re all really happy to have him as part of the group for the coming season."
Regarding his move, the 32 year old admitted that he is really excited to get started at a club who will be aiming to climb back to the Premier League once more.
"I'm really excited, it's something new again but a lot to look forward to back in the Championship at a big club.
"I've spoken to the head coach (Liam Manning) about the plan for this year and I am excited to be involved."
Finally, he spoke on the goals the club have for the season and reiterated that Norwich will aim to be in with a chance of returning to the English top flight.
"Obviously, we want to have a great campaign, it's no secret. The goal for everyone in this league is probably going to be the same, to make play-offs and try to get promoted. You have to start somewhere, obviously I'm coming into somewhere new so it's going to take a little bit of time to find my footing. Hopefully, I get to gel quickly with the players."
