PSG begin the Champions League this season as title holders and Enrique said: “It's strange in a competition where no team has the same schedule. I have to say it's the competition every team wants to win. We're the reigning champions. It's a great motivation to start the year in the best possible way.”

On the match against Barcelona, he said: “It's a positive and negative feeling. It's nice to be back in Barcelona because it's my home. It's nice to play against them because they're a club that strives to play very good football, with plenty of quality players and a very attacking style.

"It's always nice to play these kinds of matches. But at the same time, if I have to speak from my heart and about playing against the team that has helped me the most, I'm not happy about playing against them. But at the same time, it's a difficult feeling to evaluate.”

Asked if Gigio Donnarumma could yet stay, Enrique also said: "I don't know. It depends on the market. It depends on the players. The agents, other clubs. I don't know.

"We'll continue as usual. I hope, because it's the best thing for him, that he can find a solution. Nothing to add to this matter."
