Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have previously appeared on the series which follows what happens on and off the pitch in extensive detail, often revealing details that would've never been seen otherwise.

Amazon paid Tottenham around £10M to follow their 2019-20 season, while Arsenal earned a similar amount in 2022. As United are a much bigger brand, it likely the club earned much more from agreeing to the series which the club say will debut on Prime Video in summer 2027.

Manchester United Chief Communications Officer, Toby Craig has spoken the decision to allow cameras into the dressing room which he says will give fans a perspective never seen before:

“Now is the right time to open our doors, so that for the first time our fans around the world can see behind the scenes of a club which means so much to so many people.

“This documentary will showcase Manchester United’s unique people, ambition and culture; from the iconic atmosphere at Old Trafford to the work that goes on behind the scenes every day at Carrington. We will share some of the stories of this historic club both with our fans and new audiences around the world as we compete at the highest level, both domestically and in the Champions League.”

The last time this happened at the club was when former manager Sir Alex Ferguson agreed to let ITV’s cameras follow him and broadcast team talks towards the end of the 1997-98 season for The Alex Ferguson Story.
