With only the FA Cup and Champions League left to fight for, Liverpool are desperate to salvage their season with a piece of silverware before the campaign comes to a close.
The champions are currently fifth in the Premier League table and 21 points adrift of leaders Arsenal and have lost 10 games in the league this season in a statistic that sums up their title defence.
Konate, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season, has vowed to fans that the club will climb back to where they once were.
"We bring new players, we will adapt, we will try to understand each other and at a point, with time, we will win a trophy," he told ESPN.
“We will have success and when we win the Premier League or Champions League, people will forget every bad season we had because now we won the league last season.
“This is just part of the success and we have to be relaxed because we have amazing fans, we have to stay together, and the success will come for sure”.
Real Madrid are closely monitoring Ibrahima Konate as a potential option for next season, according to Spanish outlet AS. The Frenchman could be tempted to leave if handed the opportunity despite aiming to improve The Reds.
