Jose Mourinho has boldly declared himself Chelsea’s “biggest” manager as the Blues prepare to meet their former boss in the Champions League clash with Benfica on Tuesday (September 30).

The now 62-year-old enjoyed some immense success during his two spells at Chelsea, winning three Premier League titles, three League Cups and the FA Cup.

Mourninho will return to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday for the first time since he took charge of Tottenham, and in classic form, has claimed he is the ‘biggest’ manager in the club’s history.

“I’m the biggest one until someone wins four,” he told reporters.

“Chelsea is a winning machine that had in the past two or years a moment without trophies.

“But Chelsea won something before my time and then we start winning and then my team kept winning and then a transformation of new teams, new coaches, more trophies, European trophies, the biggest one and the Champions League. So Chelsea is a winning machine.”

Mourinho is also expecting to get a good reception from the Chelsea fans, adding: “at least on the street, they are the ones that disturb me for pictures and autographs”
