He explained: "There was no need to celebrate. I think it's important to respect a man I loved and who played a significant role in my career—I'm obviously talking about Spalletti.
"We also played badly, even with the extra man (Lloyd Kelly was sent off for Juve), there was no need to celebrate the goal, I'm not the type of player who hides emotions.
"I saw all these people applauding Juve... But I'm happy with the victory and to have advanced to the next round."
