Rangers manager Danny Rohl is reportedly on the shortlist to take over at Bundesliga strugglers Wolfsburg.

The 37-year-old has done a wonderful job at Ibrox, masterminding a title challenge following Rangers’ disastrous start to the season under Russell Martin.

Rohl has a Scotting Premiership win percentage of 67%, but two defeats to Motherwell and Hearts have seen their title hopes dissipate, somewhat.

According to The Scottish Sun, Wolfsburg have added Rohl to their new manager shortlist, with current boss Dieter Hecking set to become director of football.

St Pauli manager Alexander Blessin, Hertha Berlin boss Stefan Leitl and currently unattached pair Thomas Reis and Dino Toppmoller round off the shortlist.

Wolfsburg are in serious danger of dropping out of the Bundesliga for the first time in their history, sitting in 16th, the relegation play-off spot, with just 26 points and two games remaining.
