The 23-year-old failed to have much of an impact for Germany at the World Cup, with his only goal contribution coming in the 7-1 win over Curacao.
Bayern Munich have now confirmed that Musiala has undergone a ‘planned routine surgery’ following his return from the World Cup.
In a statement, Bayern say that the playmaker will be back in time for pre-season and their first competitive games of 2026-27.
“Jamal Musiala has undergone minor, routine surgery following his return from the World Cup,” the statement reads.
“The procedure is part of the standard medical protocol following his serious injury last summer and had long been scheduled for the period after the tournament in North America.
“Thanks to the procedure, the attacker will be able to complete pre-season according to a clearly structured plan, ensuring he'll be back in time for the first of FC Bayern’s competitive fixtures.”
