According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, German side Freiburg are offering Gnonto an exit route from Elland Road.
Talks between the two clubs have now started, with Leeds open to a sale or an initial loan with an obligation to buy.
It’s understood the deal will be a tricky one to pull off, but Freiburg are throwing everything they’ve got at getting it done.
