Bayern Munich attacker Jamal Musiala is making excellent progress behind the scenes as he works his way back to full fitness.

The Germany international sustained a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle during Bayern Munich's 2-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain. Many believed he would be out for the season after what is an incredibly serious injury.

However, he has now returned to the pitch at the Bavarian club’s training ground for the first time in what is a massive achievement for the young playmaker who will be seeking to return to the pitch earlier next year if rehab continues to go well.

He recently sent a message to fans, thanking them for their immense support after he had undergone surgery.

"Hello everyone, I wanted to say thank you for all the love and support I got from all of you," he said in a video posted on his social media accounts.

"It really means a lot to me and it is nice to see how the football world comes together in a time like this. I really appreciate it.

"The surgery went really well, I'm in good care, and I wanted to say there is no one to blame for this.

"I think situations like this happen and now I am just going to use the next period of time to build up by strength and my positivity again. I am looking forward to seeing you guys again."

The Bundesliga champions must be careful with the 22 year old as he works his way back to match ready. However, his goal his clear as he hopes to return to the pitch in the coming months to attempt to defend the club’s league title and go on the hunt for glory in Europe.
