Bayern Munich turn to Benfica wonderkid as Givairo Read alternative

It’s understood that Bayern are looking to add a new and young right back in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The German giants have been heavily linked with a move for Feyenoord’s Read, 19, but that has become complicated due to the potential finances involved.

According to Sky Sport, Vincent Kompany’s side have turned to Banjaqui, 17, who recently broke into the Benfica first team under Jose Mourinho.

Banjaqui in under contract with Benfica until 2027, meaning a deal to sign him could be easier that the one for Read.
