The 22-year-old made his comeback for Bayern Munich in mid-January after recovering from a broken fibula. Yesterday, Saturday, Musiala was in the starting lineup for Bayern for the first time since his injury, against Eintracht Frankfurt (3-2).
Nevertheless, he urged himself to be patient: “You always have to be a little cautious.
"For me, it’s better to ease into it a bit more slowly and hopefully be better at the end of the season. That’s why I’m happy with the progress I’m making now.
"I’m doing a lot of extra training sessions so my foot always feels fresher. Some days it’s a bit stiff. But as I said: I don’t want any excuses; when I’m on the pitch, I have to perform and deliver.”
Asked if he's confident he'll make the Germany squad for the March friendlies against Ghana and Switzerland, Musiala added: "I think so."
