It has been suggested that Neuer, who will turn 40 in March, is ready to hang up the gloves after Germany's World Cup campaign this summer.
But Eberl insists plans are being drawn up to secure Neuer's commitment for next season - and perhaps even longer.
He said, "Manu will turn 40 in March. His current performance is exceptional. We will sit down, talk, and exchange ideas with him.
"There will come a time when his body is no longer ready for professional football, but that is not the case for Manu right now. We are calm. Towards the end of the season, in April or May, we will talk and see how the situation continues.
"Right now, he is at a very high level."
With Bayern, Neuer has made 584 appearances, won two Champions League and 12 Bundesliga titles.
