The Saudi international defender was one of the breakout stars of Lens' season, which ended with a second-place finish in Ligue 1 and a Coupe de France title.
Initially kept out of the starting lineup by Ruben Aguilar, Abdulhamid gradually established himself as a starter in the lineup devised by Pierre Sage, ultimately playing 31 matches (3 goals, 8 assists).
The first Saudi player to play in Ligue 1, the 26-year-old enjoyed his only successful European experience in Artois, after a difficult first season with Roma. Next season, he will get to play in the Champions League.
Trained at Al-Ittihad before moving to Al-Hilal, Saud Abdulhamid is also one of the stars of his national team.
"Continuing with Saud was an obvious choice, given how successful the season we just had together was," said the club's sporting director, Jean-Louis Leca, in a statement.
"He adapted naturally. Whether through his performances or his daily smile, Saud shines, and the desire to continue our shared story could only be mutual."
