Tottenham, Manchester United and Newcastle United are all on the hunt for defensive options and the trio are reportedly tracking Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba.
Tapsoba played a key role in Leverkusen's first-ever Bundesliga title win under Xabi Alonso back in 2024, but he was not part of the subsequent squad exodus, despite offers being put forward for the Burkina Faso international.
However, as per the latest from Teamtalk.com, the 27-year-old now be persuaded to join Alonso - and former teammates Granit Xhaka, Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz - in the English top-flight.
The Red Devils have reportedly already reached out over an offer - but Tottenham and Newcastle's need is arguably greater - following Cristian Romero's move to Atletico Madrid and major sales on Tyneside.
Tapsoba signed a contract extension until 2031 at the start of the year, and that puts Leverkusen in a strong negotiating position, as they push for a €50M (£42.8M) exit fee.
That price may need to be lowered for Premier League interest to develop into a formal offer as the window prepares to slam shut.
