The 27-year-old has signed a three-year contract, with the club holding the option to extend it by a further year.
Field impressed during a loan spell in the second half of last season, making 15 appearances across all competitions before sealing his return to Carrow Road.
“It was a no-brainer in the end, I really enjoyed it at the end of last season,” Field told Norwich City medi
"You could feel the energy around the place straight away; the people, fans, everything, the whole area, I just really enjoyed it.
"I think Philippe (Clement) worked me out quite quickly and I’ve got a huge amount of respect for him and he was obviously a big pull.
"When I first came here, he had only been in charge for a couple of months, but the way the players were speaking about him sounded really promising.
"It is such a nice feeling that you’ve already seen the fans and know the club. I’m really excited to get going.”
