Rob Edwards was reportedly the driving force behind securing the agreement, alongside the return of Raul Jimenez, sparking excitement among those at Molineux.
But once Edwards was shockingly sacked by the Wolves board last week, Trippier threatened to rip up his two-year deal with the club before it had even begun.
Trippier wasn't happy that the man who brought him to Wolverhampton was instantly dismissed, with Cesar Peixoto replacing him in charge.
However, according to The Telegraph's John Percy, the 35-year-old has now performed a U-turn on his initial anger and is "fully committed" to Wolves after Edwards' dismissal.
The Englishman has been in contact with Peixoto, who joins the club from Gil Vicente, and will report to the Portuguese boss for the start of pre-season in July.
