The 25-year-old arrives after leaving Plymouth Argyle at the end of his contract in May. Ogbeta joined the Pilgrims as the first signing under former manager Wayne Rooney and went on to make 20 appearances before spending last season on loan at Barnsley.

A product of Manchester City’s academy, the defender has also represented Shrewsbury Town, Swansea City, Peterborough United and Bolton Wanderers during his career.
He brings valuable experience from England’s Championship and League One, while also featuring for the Three Lions at youth level.
Ogbeta has already linked up with Marítimo’s squad in Lousada as preparations continue for the upcoming campaign.
