According to the BBC, the Clarets have made contact with the Football Association of Wales (FAW) as they target their former coach, although no agreement has yet been reached and any potential move would require compensation to be negotiated.
Bellamy previously worked at Turf Moor under Vincent Kompany, playing a key role in Burnley’s 2023 promotion campaign and briefly serving as interim head coach after Kompany’s departure to Bayern Munich in 2024.
The 46-year-old still has two years remaining on his FAW contract but could now leave midway through his deal.
Burnley have been without a permanent manager since Parker departed by mutual consent in April following relegation from the Premier League.
Bellamy had previously acknowledged club interest but reaffirmed his commitment to Wales before June’s fixtures.
