Wolves boss O'Neil supports FA Cup replays being scrapped

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil is supportive of FA Cup replays being scrapped.

O'Neil says the workload of Premier League players is too much.

He stated: "I think you can see that there's an awful lot being asked of top players at the moment and the games they play. If you look at the guys that are playing at the moment in the champions league that are then going to go off to the Euros or to Copa America. They're playing an awful lot of football matches. I understand the concern around that.

"If I put my selfish Wolverhampton head on, if we're going to run with a squad of 19, which we have this season, then the less games the better.

"I spoke about the FA cup before we played Brighton, where I was quite strong around how I think they should be played on Saturdays so you get a full week's prep and the game can be taken seriously and not put in between two league games."
