Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi felt fatigue was the factor for their 3-0 home defeat to Arsenal.
De Zerbi admits they struggled after halftime.
He later said: “I think we played well until the second goal we conceded.
“After that, the game was finished.
“We played a good game until the second goal we conceded, but we didn't shoot enough to score, we weren't strong enough to score.
“We are paying in this moment, especially today.
“It was the third game in six days, and our central defenders and midfielders paid for playing three games in a row.
“The second half after the second goal, we didn't score, we didn't shoot.
“Arsenal are one of the best teams in the Premier League.
“We knew that before the game. We fought in a good way the first time."
