The goalkeeper has moved to Genoa on-loan from Feyenoord to the end of the season.
The deal includes a permanent option which would see Bijlow handed a three-year contract.
The 28 year-old posted a farewell to Feyenoord and their fans, stating: "Dear Feyenoord fans, from fan to first-team player. And now fan again.
"Ever since I was a child, born in the beautiful city of Rotterdam, I dreamed of playing in our beautiful Kuip with your support around me.
"I've always given everything for this beautiful Scudetto on my chest. We've won so many awards and experienced so many wonderful moments together. I'm proud to have played for Feyenoord for the past 22 years, and I'm deeply grateful for your support in the good times, but especially in the difficult times. It's something I'll never forget.
"With a heavy heart, I'm leaving the club for now and embarking on a new challenge. It's certainly not a goodbye, but a see you later. I'm happy and proud to be one of you and, as you know, 'Feyenoord until death.'"
