After turning 18 earlier this month, Burrowes, has signed a long-term contract with the club who will be delighted to see him put pen to paper this week.
The teenager was part of the team which won last season’s FA Youth Cup, and he also made his Premier League debut off the bench in a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace last August as he worms his way into the first team.
Academy Manager Mark Harrison opened up on the news and revealed that he hopes this new contract will hand Burrowes the chance to thrive under first team manager Unai Emery.
“We are delighted Brad has signed a new long-term contract, he has had a very positive last 18 months at the club.
“We have been really pleased with his development as an attacking player, who can create and score goals. He also has a fantastic mentality and character which is great credit to him and his family.
“He is definitely a role model for our younger Academy players, and we really hope this now provides him with the platform to transition into a senior player at the club.”
Burrowes has bagged nine goals in just 10 Premier League 2 appearances this term and also picked up a further five goals in four FA Youth Cup appearances as well as one in the UEFA Youth League.
